Right Wing Going Crazy Over Imaginary 3rd Term For Obama (VIDEO)

Between the #47Traitors and the right wing outrage media machine, the Republican party has gone completely off the rails. A certain faction has become obsessed with filling the minds of their listeners and viewers that Obama is going to either stay in office for an unprecedented third term-or longer!

While the mental giants at WorldNetDaily debate whether or not Obama will just try to stay in office a third term (because as they are saying, laws and elections don’t matter anymore) so he can simply go on more vacations or if he’ll just hand pick a successor, InfoWars thinks Obama plans on staying in the White House for life.

When faced with such perplexing possibilities it’s always good to ask an expert. Or another crazy person. In this case they rousted up lunatic and GOP Presidential hopeful, Ben Carson. In one of his saner moments, Ben Carson pointed out that the 22nd Amendment of Constitution limits Presidential terms to two.

But that didn’t stop Rush Limbaugh. Check out the full blown crazy talk with a delusional listener on his show:

Let’s say that Mrs. Clinton has withstood all of this e-mail stuff, that Elizabeth Warren has not gotten in the race, that Al Gore took the temperature and decided not to go, that it’s just Mrs. Clinton and Joe Biden. On the other side, the Republican field has a great list of possible candidates, and they will have by that time engaged in a vigorous debate which may have served to educate the country on the foibles and the problems of the past eight years, and the country may be looking forward to a dramatic change to Republican in the election of 2016.

Obama fully aware of this, would go on television and say that the Democrat field is so weak that he’s not confident that Mrs. Clinton can win. He might even take steps to make sure she can’t win. You know, sabotage her campaign. And then call a national speech to the nation in which the main point is that it’s beginning to look like the Republicans will win the White House, and this is something that he can’t risk. Not after eight courageous years of transforming America!

One right wing rag quoted Vice President Joe Biden as saying, “Some say that would amount to a third term of the president. I call it sticking with what works and what we ought to do.” Of course they left out the previous few sentences, wherein he is obviously referring to Hillary Clinton. As reported by Business Insider:

However, Biden’s Thursday speech certainly appeared to test potential campaign themes. For example, Republicans often accuse Clinton of running to be President Barack Obama’s “third term.” Biden argued Democratic candidates shouldn’t run from that attempted insult.

“It wasn’t that long ago that even members of my own party were saying that our economic path hasn’t worked. And they were looking to distance themselves. I think that would be a terrible mistake,” Biden said. “Some say that would amount to a ‘third term’ for the president. I call it ‘sticking with what works and what we ought to do.'”

Tea Party News Network, whose sole purpose seems to be to gin up imaginary fears, also regurgitated these rumors:

Is Obama considering a Third Term?

The signs are everywhere and becoming more real by the day, and by the scandal.

With Hillary Clinton constantly on the ropes from scandal after scandal, and no other real democratic leader stepping up to the plate, the democrats are going to have to find someone who can take on a strong conservative candidate.

But will he do it?

Obama has continually demonstrated his disregard for the rule of law. It wouldn’t be a stretch of the imagination to believe he has the audacity to pursue a third term. Don’t believe me? Take a look at the transcript of a speech he gave last summer comparing his administration to FDR’s:

Then they drop in this quote, as if that fortifies their fabricated story, as if because FDR was a three-term President that he is implying that he will be:

TPNN Obama Quote

Then they went on with the Biden quote that the other rag ran with.

This is nothing new. It’s been going on since he was re-elected in 2012.

Last summer President Obama was even questioned about this in a town hall that took place in Minnesota. President Obama responded by saying, “Not only the Constitution bars it, but Michelle bars it. And you can’t change Michelle’s mind.”

But no matter how many times these stories are debunked with facts, we have come to know that facts don’t matter to the current Republican party.

Although, should the country become totally out of control, between the guns and revolts…… Obama could invoke martial law. When there is martial law, there are no elections so who is in position remains in position. GOP you need to get your act together or you won’t need a primary.

And then we’ll all get thrown into the FEMA camps. Not the ones that FEMA has plans for, the camps where they would house displaced people during a natural disaster…no, no the DEATH camps. The ones surrounded with barbed wire, guarded by vicious attack dogs and patrolled by heavily-armed guys named Siegfried and Bruno.

      • kenthefitter

        Or, perhaps, Siegfried and Roy.

    • kenthefitter

There has never been martial law declared, nor is there any process or procedure for it in the Constitution.
These people are just nutter than a Porta potty at a peanut festival.

The biggest lie that limbaugh told was “the Republican field has a great list of possible candidates.” They basically have the same clowns they had last time and the time before. No thanks. You know…the idea of a third term for President Obama makes a lot of sense. Definitely a lot more sense than putting any current republican in such an important position. We should start a petition!!!!!

I just checked INFOWARS and they must be experiencing a lot of crap because they CLOSED THE COMMENT section.

Obama compared his accomplishments to FDRs. FDR served more than two terms. Ergo, Obama is planning to subvert the Constitution and serve three-or more-terms. This is what passes for logic in Limbaughland.

Why is Rush Limbaugh still in the US? Some time ago, he promised to move to Costa Rica if the ACA became law. Still waiting for him to move . . . Maybe he decided against doing so when he found out that Costa Rica has a government run health care system (y’know, just like every other modern Western-style democracy has).

Still waiting for Ted Nugent to be dead or in jail, too. Damn rightwing nuts, they just can’t be trusted to keep their promises.

The only president who has ever floated the idea than an upcoming election might need to be “postponed” for “national security reasons” was George W. Bush. I love how these extreme right-wingers keep accusing progressives of doing all the things the right is actually in fact doing themselves. I’d guess this is just a Machiavellian distraction tactic, to shift attention away from their own doings. But after seeing this strategy used now on basically every single question or issue today, it’s kinda losing its impact. Or, at least I hope so. Otherwise, we’re losing to a handful of really good marketers who have convinced a bunch of idiots to buy the crap they’re selling.

Amazing what fear and hate can make people believe. I cannot fathom the fact that people still listen to Rush-baby…he gives pandering idiocy a really bad name.

  • Justin

There is precedent for a 3rd term… you might want to fix that line.

    • mencik

Unprecedented since the passage of the 22nd Amendment.

i tell them all the time that the president is going to manufacture a terror crisis, declare marshall law and cancel the elections. then, declare himself king. and if they don’t like it, there’s a bed for them in a FEMA camp, where they can stand before a death panel under the clear blue sky, filled with contrails. then i laugh myself all the way home.

There are ALWAYS going to be the certifiably insane, the intellectually challenged, the aluminum hat conspiracy theorists and the criminally psychotic. They will always make up Rush Limbaugh’s audience and they will always believe whatever the lunatic fringe of the right wing tells them to think and then send them however much money the right wing says it needs to keep them “informed”. Loons follow loons, but, only the leader Loons get rich!
