Paul Ryan Blames His Stupidity On His Ancestors–Twittersphere Rips Him A New One (TWEETS)

When Paul Ryan was elected Speaker by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, hope was restored that the American legislative branch would once again be the proud, fair body of government it once…Nope. Can’t do it. Not even as a sarcastic introduction to an article aimed at making a fool of the GOP’s chief asshat. Paul Ryan is a corporate shill; a scourge on the face of American politics.

Ryan’s budget plans have been laughed at by economists for years. His plan to replace Obamacare with…absolutely nothing but a lack of insurance for millions is deplorable. His idea to turn Medicare into a voucher system, ensuring that poverty-stricken retirees can’t get the care they need to live long enough to recoup their social security taxes, is nothing short of inhumane. Yet somehow, some way, this guy is the 3rd most powerful person in the free world.

As Speaker, Ryan has amped up his social media presence, meaning the chances he’ll say something incredibly stupid have increased exponentially. While it would be impossible to cover every ridiculous thing Ryan has ever said, this particular gem is just too good to pass up:

Ryan was talking about the dumbass expression on his face throughout President Obama’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday, noting that how dumb and punchable he looked isn’t his fault; his ancestors decided that fate long ago. “Irish guys” it seems express themsaelves whether they like it or not. That’s not a stereotype or anything, it’s just how the Eddie Munster of politics sees it.

Twitter tends to catch on pretty fast when someone says something so stupid — and this was no different:

Needless to say people were completely unimpressed with Ryan’s willingness to pass his shameful smirk off as something genetic rather than the look of disrespect for the President of the United States that it was.
