Yesterday, Donald Trump gave a speech regarding his plans for foreign policy, which includes his plan to combat terrorism. MSNBC noticed a few problems with some of his key points, though. For example, yesterday he made it clear that he was very much against the Iraq War “from the beginning.”
I was an opponent of the Iraq war from the beginning.
But, he seems to have forgotten about the time that he was for it. . .
9/11/02 – Howard Stern asks, “Are you for invading Iraq?”
Trump replied, “Yeah, I guess so. You know, I wish the first time it was done correctly.”
In his campaign, Trump has railed against Obama’s withdrawal of troops from Iraq. MSNBC took note of his words yesterday when he called it “a catastrophic mistake.”
I have been just as clear what a catastrophic mistake Hillary Clinton and President Obama made with the reckless way in which they pulled out.
Oops, looks like he forgot about that one time when he was interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN who asked if there was a way to get out of Iraq.
3/16/07 – “How do they get out? You know how they get out? They get out! That’s how they get out. Declare victory and leave.”
The video includes a few more Trumpian flip-flops that are worth watching. When the clip ends, Joe Scarborough says he has a headache and then asks regular guest Donny Deutsch, “Donny, how do you clean that up?”
Deutsch replies, “Sometimes you just let art flow.”
Art? More like uncontrollable diarrhea.
Look, I get it that minds can change about issues. Perhaps one learns more information about something which is persuasive enough to change a viewpoint. However, we all know Donald Trump is hardly an individual on a quest for knowledge. He’s not. He hasn’t learned anything, except, what his racist, bigoted, hate-filled base wants to hear – and that he will spew all day long.
