On the eve of the election, Jon Stewart returned to join his pal Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with a musical message that is important for everyone to hear!
Colbert opened the show laughing about how Trump’s team took away his Twitter account:
“That’s like taking away Batman’s utility belt. All you’re left with is a billionaire with anger issues! He’s got none of his tools!”
It was then that a crying little girl in rumpled and dirty period clothing interrupted him on stage saying she’s afraid to vote. The two of them broke into song with Colbert explaining how she needn’t worry because it’s easy to vote! Then, Stewart, dressed in a red, white and blue suit, complete with a red top hat and “Jon Stewart” sash, appeared:
“There’s nothing in the law that says the people have to vote. Let the child do what she wants, don’t stuff voting down her throat!” Stewart sang.
Colbert then explained how important it is to vote this time around because Donald Trump is running for president. Stewart pretends he didn’t know:
“That angry tax-evading and draft-dodging little orange groundhog is running for president?”
What happens next will not disappoint!
Watch their entire performance below, and don’t skip the vote this year! Too much is at stake!
