Former Democratic National Committee chair and six-term Vermont governor Howard Dean loves taking shots at Donald Trump and he had a field day with it during Monday night’s much-anticipated presidential debate. Many debate viewers noticed that Trump seemed to sniffle throughout the debate, and it was audible in his microphone. This is ironic, considering how much Trump and his surrogates and other assorted Trumpkin conspiracy theorists have been all over the political news shows publicly worrying over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s health. Many people speculated that Trump might be ill, but Governor Dean took sniffle gate to a whole other level.
Dean tweeted out a theory completely unrelated to the idea of The Donald being a bit under the weather: that he might be using cocaine.
Judging by the number of retweets and likes, it doesn’t seem that Governor Dean was the only one thinking that cocaine use might be a feasible culprit for The Donald’s sniffles. Further, he was restless, seemed to run out of energy toward the end of the debate, was constantly drinking water on camera, and seemed to be coming apart at the seams overall as the debate wore on.
Now, far be it from me to decide that I know anything about Donald Trump’s drug use or non-drug use. However, the fact that a prominent political figure had the nerve to float this theory is pretty badass, and will definitely get under Trump’s skin. It will also have the right-wing internet exploding with apoplectic rage once they get wind of it, and that’s going to be the icing on the cake to Hillary’s huge debate win.
