Vicente Fox, the former president of Mexico, is none too pleased with current president Enrique Peña Nieto’s decision to invite Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to come to Mexico. Can you blame him?
Since the beginning of his campaign run, Trump has done nothing but disrespect the people of Mexico. When news surfaced that two of his supporters beat and urinated on a homeless Hispanic man due to Trump’s hateful rhetoric, he didn’t apologize, instead called them “passionate.”
Fox has clashed with Trump before. After Trump launched his campaign by smearing Mexicans, Fox became one of his most intense critics. The two have since cooled down.
Former President Vicente Fox, who is railing against my visit to Mexico today, also invited me when he apologized for using the "f bomb."

While Fox admits to inviting Trump to Mexico, he states it was to allow him a chance to come and apologize to the people of Mexico for the things he has said. During that time, Fox also told Trump that Mexico wouldn’t be paying for any “f*cking wall.” Fox was referring to the giant wall he expects Mexico to fund in order keep immigrants from coming over.
“Trump is using Mexico, using President Peña to boost his sinking poll numbers. I think that President Peña is taking an enormous political risk by hosting Trump. If he’s perceived as going soft on Trump, it will hurt him greatly. He will even be considered like a traitor.”
Though Fox has no idea why President Pena Nieto would invite Trump to Mexico, one may assume it’s to boost his dismally low 23 percent approval rating.
Trump has done nothing to warrant a warm welcome from Mexico. Sadly for us, I guess that means they wont keep him.
