It was confirmed late Tuesday evening that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be traveling to Mexico for a meeting with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. This is most interesting, considering the fact that Trump has had a most antagonistic relationship with Mexico during his campaign, and of course, with Mexican immigrants – all his own doing, of course, seeing that he kicked the campaign off by accusing the Mexican government of sending rapists and criminals across the border. Nonetheless, this meeting is to take place.
Now, of course, it’s anybody’s guess what the reasoning behind this is, but former GOP congressman and Tea Party lunatic Joe Walsh seems to think he knows what will happen: Trump will return with a big, fat check from President Pena Nieto himself to pay for his border wall. Walsh tweeted the following:
“You know, if @realDonaldTrump comes back from Mexico with a big check from Mexico to pay for the wall…that’s game, set, match.”
You know, if @realDonaldTrump comes back from Mexico tomorrow with a big check from Mexico to pay for the wall…that's game, set, match.

Now, considering all of the horrible and bigoted things Trump has said about the people of Mexico, as well as Mexican immigrants throughout the duration of this travesty of a presidential campaign, why on earth would their president make any concessions to the likes of Donald Trump, especially one that highlights the bigotry surrounding every word he speaks when it comes to how he plans to deal with Mexico and Mexican immigrants should he become president?
The Mexican president has already said that there’s no way he’s paying for Trump’s ridiculous wall. In fact, the idea is nothing more than red meat for his rabidly bigoted and anti-immigrant base. The wall will never be built, whether Trump is president or not.
This just goes to show how stupid Trump’s followers are – even those who have held elected office. Then again, it’s Joe Walsh, so there’s no telling what dark corners of his mind the idea that Mexico will actually pay for Trump’s border wall came from. All I can say is that it’s a good thing Walsh isn’t in Congress anymore.
