Florida’s infamous Republican Attorney General, Pam Bondi, has been exposed for her acceptance of a $25,000 bribe towards her political campaign by Donald Trump. This was paid in exchange for dropping a probe and potential lawsuit against his fraudulent Trump University by the Florida State Attorney General office.
Trump has made it a point to say on numerous occasions how he can buy politicians, and now it’s proven to be true.
As a businessman and a very substantial donor to very important people, when you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do. As a businessman, I need that.
– Donald Trump
In 2013, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman started a lawsuit against Trump and his joke of a scam university. He had sent missives to others looking for more plaintiffs to join him. One of those people was Pam Bondi. Upon review of the initial letter, she was interested in the idea and planned to join AG Schneiderman in the lawsuit on behalf of her state.
That’s when Trump found out, and suddenly things changed.
Three days after Bondi’s spokeswoman was quoted in local media reports as saying the office was reviewing the New York lawsuit, the Donald J. Trump Foundation made a $25,000 contribution to a political fundraising committee supporting Bondi’s re-election campaign. Bondi, a Republican, soon dropped her investigation, citing insufficient grounds to proceed.
What is it when you want someone to cooperate with you, and you give them money and/or goods that are of personal benefit to them? I bet Trump and Pam will call it NOT A BRIBE.
Give me a freakin’ break. She was bribed. Not only was she bribed, but she was very cheap. $25,000 is a fart in the wind compared to what she could have gotten from Trump. At what point will it ever be enough crime, corruption, and otherwise general jackassery by elected Republicans, to where their voters say enough is enough?
