Trump gets shut down by the always righteous Neil Young
Donald Trump’s announcement to run for President pissed a lot of people off today. Anyone with some semblance of respect for the game of politics most likely rolled their eyes when the toupee’d Orangutan made his announcement, but among the most pissed off was epic rocker Neil Young.
When the Birther announced his run for President he did so to the soundtrack “Rockin’ in the Free World” by Neil Young, which is ironic because that song is about a Republican administration that doesn’t give a single f*ck about the poor. Chosen by a billionaire. Who hates poor people.
Just take a look at the first verse of the song:
There’s colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin’ their feet
People sleepin’ in their shoes
But there’s a warnin’ sign
on the road ahead
There’s a lot of people sayin’
we’d be better off dead
Don’t feel like Satan,
but I am to them
So I try to forget it,
any way I can.
Keep on Rockin’ in the Free World
Young’s long-time manager, Elliot Roberts, implied that Young was not happy with the corporate mogul using his music, and issued a statement to Mother Jones, saying:
Donald Trump’s use of ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ was not authorized. Mr. Young is a longtime supporter of Bernie Sanders.
Young is a long time liberal, who played at Woodstock ’69 for all those long-haired freaky people that are the completely to the contrary of Trump and his suit and champagne world. His music is about being free, caring for one another, free love and hating on the establishment.
Sanders also stands for breaking down the establishment which has a long history of giving huge tax breaks to the rich, allowing them to hide their money offshore, and shifting the burden to the middle class and poor.
Completely opposite of Trump, who has made a name for himself in the political world for criticizing the poor for taking government handouts, as well as the liberal government who ensures people have a safety net so they and their kids can eat and get healthcare.
Trump said in his announcement:
Sadly the American dream is dead, but if I get elected president I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before.
This is probably (as in absolutely) just the beginning of acts of stupidity he’s bound to commit.
