Once again, the bizarre method of god-fearing Christians leaving hateful messages on tip receipts, as opposed to the standard 20 percent and a signature like most normal people, appears to be making a comeback.
It waitress in North Carolina recently posted a photo of a bill showing what she described as a hateful message a group of diners recently left her instead of a tip. Come on, people! These people handle the food you put in your mouth. So maybe be a little nicer.
I’ve heard of people leaving fake money, or writing funny stuff in the tip spot of a check,” Alexandra Judd told WBTV-TV. “But [I] never believed it would happen to me, in the way that it did.
Just like a bumper sticker isn’t the best method of expressing your hateful views, a receipt is even worse.
Judd posted a picture online of the bill from the group’s visit to her Charlotte restaurant on Tuesday. The photo clearly shows an abbreviation for the Old Testament verse Leviticus 20:13 in the tip portion. For those unfamiliar with this lovely verse, here’s what it means:
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
That totally seems like a reasonable thing to include in lieu of currency. Hilariously enough, the bill also says the customers were praying for Judd. That is some weird passive-aggression. Judd, who has joined others in opposing the passage of HB2 — which bans trans residents from using restrooms according to their gender identity — responded by writing the following:
I don’t care what anyone says, this is the most disrespectful thing you can do, she wrote about the incident on Facebook. Don’t pray for me darling, I have everything I could possibly want and need in my life.
To all similar loving Christians out there, nobody is remotely interested in your prayers unless solicited. Furthermore, leave a real f**king tip!
