We were all hoping Alec Baldwin would once again don the dead blonde bird and impersonate Trump, but with all the new revelations of the potential groper-in-chief’s frat boy-like banter on the hot mic in 2005, we just weren’t sure how the sketch would play out. But Baldwin brought his A-game and the writing focused on the scandal and the ensuing non-apology with laser-like precision.
“Are you not entertained?” Baldwin jokingly said at the top of the sketch, which appeared as a breaking news alert to interrupt the Vice Presidential debate and humiliate Pence.
“I would like to take this time to formally apologize,” he said, mispronouncing the word “apologize.”
But the real comedy bread and butter arrived when Baldwin’s Trump tried to appeal to women.
“If you give me a chance, I promise I can do a whole lot more than just grab it. I can also bop it, twist it and pull it.”
However, things only got more hilarious when Kate McKinnon’s incredible impersonation of Hillary Clinton entered the scene to
celebrate lament Trump’s latest comments. Needless to say, Hillary was very optimistic about her chances in November.
