Ivanka Trump supports this gift to the wealthy so much that she tweeted a pic of three rich arseholes, including herself and her Dad, and wrote, “We must reform our tax code so that all Americans can succeed in our modern economy & achieve the American Dream!”
Fox Business host Stuart Varney asked Donald Trump’s top economic official about the Republican tax plan and Gary Cohn, a former Goldman executive, suggested it will not involve a cut for top earners, but then he immediately walked it back when the host pressed the issue, ThinkProgress reports.
Host Stuart Varney began his interview with Gary Cohn by saying, “President Trump talks of a middle-class tax cut… Does that mean that the top 1 percent won’t get a cut in their taxes?”
Well, that’s a really simple question because the answer is ‘yes’.
“That is what the president’s talking about,” Cohn told Varney. “What the president spent his time on, and what we’ve been working on here in the White House, is a middle-class tax cut.”
Varney pressed on and asked, “Well, does that mean that there will be no cut in the top rate of income tax for individuals?”
But his statement quickly changed to, “Stuart, there may be a cut.”
Q: No cut for top earners?
GARY COHN: “That’s what the president’s talking about”
Q: So really none?
