White House Responds To Russian Indictments, Destroys All Hope For Trump (TWEET)

Donald Trump is having a pretty rough week. Not only has he been heavily criticized for his horrendously half-ass response to the mass shooting in a Florida high school that left 17 innocent people dead, but his Russian investigation is blowing up in his face.

Just today, it was announced that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities for meddling in the 2016 election. Following this news, Trump absolutely freaked out and tweeted that there had been “no collusion” between his campaign and Russia — a move that only made the president look more guilty.

To make matters worse, the White House also issued its own response, which pretty much looked like a continuation of Trump’s tweet. Seriously, Trump probably wrote this one himself, because it contains his signature all-caps “NO COLLUSION” in the official statement, and isn’t convincing at all. The move was so ridiculous that the Huffington Post’s Ryan Reilly couldn’t help but point it out. See for yourself:

This statement also says that even though there was clearly Russian meddling in the 2016 election, the outcome wasn’t affected by it. Does the White House actually want us to believe that Trump won the election fairly? In the statement, Trump is also quoted to have said it’s “time we stop the outlandish partisan attacks, wild and false allegations, and far-fetched theories,” because it helps “bad actors, like Russia.”

The White House isn’t even trying anymore. The entire statement is nonsense, but thanks to the ridiculous all-caps delivery, the Trump administration now looks just as paranoid and unhinged as its leader. This extinguishes any credibility the White House had left. The reputation of American leadership will never be the same after Trump, as the President and his administration have successfully ruined the country’s reputation and made us a joke. Seeing Mueller’s investigation close in on Trump is a gift at this point — and no amount of capital letters are going to convince us otherwise.
