As long as Donald Trump is in office, the White House will be scrambling to clean up all of his messes, even if it means coming up with fake statements.
Just recently, the White House released a statement from an unnamed White House official claiming that Trump’s statement included white supremacists and racists.
Here is the statement with no names attached to it:
Trump’s actual statement on Saturday said this:
“But we’re closely following the terrible events unfolding in Charlottesville, Virginia. We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides. On many sides. It’s been going on for a long time in our country. Not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. This has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America. What is vital now is a swift restoration of law and order and the protection of innocent lives. No citizen should ever fear for their safety and security in our society, and no child should ever be afraid to go outside and play, or be with their parents, and have a good time.”
It’s obvious why there isn’t a name attached to the White Houses’ statement: No one wants to put their name next to a complete lie. If Trump wanted to condemn racists and white supremacists, he could have done so very easily (or just tweet about it).
This is the same White House who is telling reporters that they blame left wing mobs who were as or more violent than the racists in Charlottesville.
The administration is getting hammered with bad media coverage after Trump’s statement, so its no wonder they resorted to lying.
