President Trump kicked off his first 4th of July speech as president by suggesting that the rain stopped simply because he walked out of the White House to address the crowd.
Here’s what he said:
“Welcome everyone, the rain stopped just as we came out. I don’t know what that means, but it’s not bad.”
This is yet another example of Trump’s narcissistic personality. Is Trump implying that he’s like Jesus from Mark 4:35-41 in the Bible? This wouldn’t be his first time.
35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!”Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

Trump might like to think the rain stopped because of him but let’s not forget that the moment Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, it started raining.
Trump admits that a “few drops came down” during his inauguration speech but said God fixed that for him.
“It was almost raining, the rain should have scared them away, but God looked down and said we’re not going to let it rain on your speech. When I first started, I said ‘oh, no’. That first line I got hit by a couple of drops and I said oh, this is too bad. But, the truth is it stopped immediately. And, then it came really sunny.”

Reverand Graham also took the rain as a sign of God “blessing” Trump.
It looks like Trump is having it both ways here. God is stopping and starting the rain for him. Either way, it somehow is to his benefit. Yep, definitely the signs of a narcissistic personality.
