On January, 31, in a blatant attempt to return the GOP’s evil agenda to the Supreme Court, illegitimate president, and all around narcissistic sociopath, Donald Trump, nominated Neil Gorsuch to replace Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who died February 16, 2016.
Gorsuch, an appellate judge from Colorado, who was appointed in his district by George W Bush, is an uber conservative and his misogynistic pro-life, pro-gun, and supposed “pro-Christian” values mirror those of Scalia (and Trump) in every way.
Gorsuch has never hidden his dislike for liberals. In fact, in a 2005 essay in National Review he wrote:
“American liberals have become addicted to the courtroom, relying on judges and lawyers rather than elected leaders and the ballot box, as the primary means of effecting their social agenda on everything from gay marriage to assisted suicide to the use of vouchers for private school education. This overweening addiction to the courtroom is bad for the country and bad for the judiciary.”
And to make matters worse, just yesterday, only one day after his nomination, a reporter at the Daily Mail discovered that not only does Gorsuch hate liberals, he’s also an admitted fascist who was president of a club at his cushy Georgetown prep school called the “Fascism Forever Club.”
According to his yearbook from Georgetown Preparatory School, Gorsuch set up the club in order to oppose the views of the school’s administration, which he considered to be “too liberal.”
The Daily Mail reports:
The yearbook described the ‘Fascism Forever Club’ as an anti-faculty student group that battled against the ‘liberal’ views of the school administration.
‘In political circles, our tireless President Gorsuch’s “Fascism Forever Club” happily jerked its knees against the increasingly “left-wing” tendencies of the faculty,’ said the yearbook.
It is not the only example of Gorsuch’s early conservative political views. One yearbook photo showed the high school senior kicking back in a chair in a button-down shirt and tie while reading William F. Buckley’s 1959 book ‘Up from Liberalism’, a key text of the conservative movement.
Gorsuch was just nominated on Tuesday but already his past is biting him in the ass.
This discovery will no doubt be brought up during his confirmation hearings. Elizabeth Warren has already vowed to oppose his nomination and the rest of the Democrats and perhaps several Republican senators will likely follow. We can expect him to be asked flat out, on national television and in front of the entire world, whether or not he is a “fascist.” It will be fun to watch him try to squirm his way out of this one.
