Donald Trump uses his Twitter timeline to lash out at the world. Today was no different as the 71-year-old ‘man’ crawled out of bed this morning to yell at black athletes before he hit the golf course. Lately, Trump is targeting LaVar Ball, the father of one of the UCLA basketball players who was arrested in China for allegedly shoplifting. Mr. Ball pretty much played the former reality show star, out-trumping Trump by baiting the so-called president, who in turn, keeps enhancing his brand.
Mr. Ball wasn’t that well-known before the former reality show star started ranting about him, but now, everyone knows his name and brand. Ball, for the record, has something in common with Mr. Trump. Both of them have stoked controversy.
ThinkProgress reports:
Ball, the father of three basketball prodigies, is in the business of stoking controversy to generate interest in his company, Big Baller Brand. The elder Ball, for example, once claimed he could have beaten Michael Jordan in a game of one-one-one, said he son Lonzo was better than two-time league MVP Steph Curry, and demanded a $1 billion shoe contract.”
But Trump unwittingly enhanced Ball’s brand more than anyone ever could.
Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!

It wasn’t the White House, it wasn’t the State Department, it wasn’t father LaVar’s so-called people on the ground in China that got his son out of a long term prison sentence – IT WAS ME. Too bad! LaVar is just a poor man’s version of Don King, but without the hair. Just think..

…LaVar, you could have spent the next 5 to 10 years during Thanksgiving with your son in China, but no NBA contract to support you. But remember LaVar, shoplifting is NOT a little thing. It’s a really big deal, especially in China. Ungrateful fool!

After Trump’s attacks, Ball appeared on CNN and pretty much told Trump to stay in his lane.
Watch:
“If you help, you shouldn’t have to say anything,” says LaVar Ball, father of UCLA basketball player LiAngelo Ball, adding, “Let him do his political affairs and let me handle my son, and let’s just stay in our lane” https://t.co/CzyFZ2YTO1 pic.twitter.com/1XiXEg6Pl4

Right after the CNN interview, Mr. Ball marketed his catch-phrase which you can buy with it emblazoned across a t-shirt.
The moral of the story is that if someone is treating you like a d*ck, you can get revenge by doing well. You’ve heard the quote before. Apparently, Mr. Trump hasn’t, though.
