As President, Donald Trump promised change. He promised Americans that he will go against all odds to shake up Washington; he lied. After his first 100 days of doing little to nothing for our nation, the people who voted for Trump are now starting to realize how much of a mistake that truly was.
According to Gallup poll, merely 40 percent of people said Trump has made progress after 100 days when it comes to changing the system-in-play and how Washington works– a whopping 54 percent said he hasn’t changed anything at all.
In addition, Gallup also compared President Barack Obama’s numbers to Trump’s. Here were the results:
Shortly after his inauguration speech, Trump wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post arguing that changing Washington was definitely one promise he continued to deliver on, despite his other promises to America which over time, were broken.
One hundred days ago, I took the oath of office and made a pledge: We are not merely going to transfer political power from one party to another, but instead are going to transfer that power from Washington, D.C., and give it back to the people.
In the past 100 days, I have kept that promise — and more.
Too bad America doesn’t agree.
The only change Trump has managed to make is his wallet size. The liar-in-chief is only effective when it comes to filling up his own pockets and those of other fellow billionaires. Trump is failing at every important aspect of being a leader, especially when it comes to logic, strategic moves, ethics, and reason. America deserves better.
