President Donald Trump just pardoned the first turkey of his presidency, honoring the annual turkey pardon as presidents typically do this time of year.
But, that’s not what stood out the most. What caught people’s attention was the awkward commentary that took place just before the pardon. Trump asked if he could “touch it,” before giving Drumstick a nice petting.
People couldn’t help but draw a contrast to Trump’s statements and actions towards women, particularly the video of Trump released around the same time last year talking about him just “grabbing” women by the you know what, without even asking first.
Does Trump just give more consideration to this turkey than he does to women?
Here, watch and judge for yourself.

Oh sure, he asks permission before touching a *turkey.*

Classic, he’ll ask if he can touch a turkey, but women? just grab!

A Turkey has more rights than women. Obviously. #TheWorldIsStrange

When he asked if he could touch it, they should have said, “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”

When you’re a celebrity, they let you touch any bird.
You just gotta grab em by the poultry.— Bates-Jefferys (@bates_jefferys) November 21, 2017
Trump also joked about not being able to reverse former President Obama’s previous turkey pardons, apparently thinking that was funny.
Just recently, Hillary Clinton came out saying Trump should be investigated for sexual allegations against him made by over a dozen women, saying he was a “sexual predator.”
“The Republicans are led by a man who admitted to sexually assaulting women,” she told 77 WABC, prompting headlines nationwide.
