Aside from the fact that Donald Trump is batsh*t crazy and not even remotely connected to reality, he is mentally unfit to be president. He has failed to form any sort of coherent policy and hasn’t once articulated any clear legislation. Now, thanks to a Trump confidant it’s never been more obvious that Trump is not able to perform his presidential duty.
One of the massive failures of Trump is that he hasn’t been able to form a legit policy in Afghanistan, even though H.R. McMaster has tried his best to educate the ignorant POTUS about the ongoing conflict. The Washington Post has just reported that in McMaster’s first six months championing the National Security Council, he found it almost impossible to stop Trump from creating a circus. The Post reported that “Among his biggest challenges was holding the attention of the president.”
In classified briefings, Trump would frequently flit between subjects. ‘We moved very quickly from news to intelligence to policy with very little clarity on which lanes we were in,’ said a U.S. official who took part in the briefings. ‘McMaster would act like the tangents didn’t happen and go back to Point 2 on his card.’”
And it gets even worse when foreign policy is concerned. As Trump has absolutely no knowledge of foreign policy, this is a subject that he really should have been paying attention to. But was he? Hell no! Trump couldn’t even make it through a one-page bulleted brief on the Afghanistan conflict!
Trump had little time for in-depth briefings on the Afghanistan’s history, it’s complicated politics or its seemingly endless civil war. Even a single page of bullet points on the country seemed to tax the president’s attention span on the subject, said senior White House officials.
A Trump confidant revealed to the Post this deeply concerning information:
I call the president the two-minute man. The president has patience for a half-page.”
And then there’s this. Trump was apparently skeptical that winning in Afghanistan could be possible, so McMaster decided to appeal to Trump’s childish mind and show him ‘promising’ photos of the country. McMaster accomplished this by showing Trump “a black-and-white snapshot from 1972 of Afghan women in mini skirts walking through Kabul.” The Trump confidant explained:
The goal was to give the president the idea that Afghanistan was not this hopeless place.”
This is absolutely disgusting and disturbing. The president has all the time in the world to tweet, golf, and watch cable news – but barely has the attention span to read a few bullet points on critical foreign policy information. This man’s stupidity is a danger to this country, and it’s about time we had a grown up in the White House.
