Looks like Donald Trump doesn’t believe in his own health care bill. Yes, the same bill that he has been pushing to ‘replace and repeal’ Obamacare. The one he said would be so much better. The one that put millions out of healthcare. Yea, that same one he celebrated when it was initially ‘passed’ before being shot down by Senate Parliamentarian. YES, that one.
Tuesday Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told Trump to ‘pump the brakes’ for voting on Trumpcare. The President held a meeting immediately after with GOP senators at the White House in attempts to save the bill. However, it seemed like he was so exhausted with trying to replace Obamacare. It’s like he held the meeting to announce that he’s throwing in the towel. He told the senators that he essentially didn’t care if the bill failed.
“This will be great if we get it done. And if we don’t get it done, it’s just going to be something that we’re not going to like. And that’s okay, and I understand that very well.”
Pretty much sounds he’s accepted the loss. A recent poll by NBC News/WSJ Poll only 16 percent of the country supported the House version of Trumpcare. It’s no secret that Obamacare is way more beneficial that Trump’s Affordable Health Care Act. So, Trump is right to give up. He was never going to win the fight. It’s not fair to play with people’s health or their lives as a matter of fact just because you’re obsessed with
It’s not fair to play with people’s health or their lives as a matter of fact just because you’re obsessed with one-upping Barack Obama. Let the bill be preserved and find something else to focus on.
