Seth Meyers, the host of Late Night, has been off for a couple of weeks due to NBC’s obligation to broadcast the 2018 Winter Olympics, but don’t you dare think that he hasn’t been watching what happened while he was out.
He’s been sitting on the news for days and days, and if you’re a writer or someone who can at least appreciate what writers do, you understand that he’s got a lot to say.
Last night, Seth segmented a huge portion of his show to focus on Trump’s disgusting response to the horrific shooting at Parkland Highschool, where 17 people were killed and countless others were injured.
The clips Seth found during his time off are a picture of what this country has become, and what our “president” has become with his need to please his deplorable base.
I’m sure you’ve all seen reports of Trump stating that he would have “run in there” and taken out the shooter with his bare hands. You can watch that here:
Trump blasts Parkland, Florida deputy sheriffs, says he would have run into Marjory Stoneman Douglas unarmed.

But the best part (using “best” lightly) was when Trump decided to discuss the parallels of how golf is exactly like expecting TEACHERS to arm themselves, and protect their students. You know, because golf is exactly like enduring what these kids and teachers had to go through together on Valentine’s Day.
There’s a lot in this video, and I suggest you watch the whole thing:
This is your “president” ladies and gentlemen. This is what you voted for. Congratulations.
