First Lady Ivanka Trump got a beat down on Twitter over her pro-LGBT rights tweets during Gay Pride Month. It’s as if Ms. Trump has never heard of her father’s bigoted pick for vice-president before. Her failure to speak out against Mike Pence and her father’s bigoted views makes her complicit. Donald Trump has not proclaimed June to be Pride Month. In fact, no Republican president has ever recognized Gay Pride month before. Donald Trump is likely too busy handing out electoral maps to recognize anything.
“Logging back on after Shavuot, wishing everyone a joyful #Pride2017. This month we celebrate and honor the #LGBTQ community,” she tweeted.

“I am proud to support my LGBTQ friends and the LGBTQ Americans who have made immense contributions to our society and economy,” she wrote in the following tweet.

Twitter users were quick to pile in. After all, the LGBTQ community voted overwhelmingly against the former reality show star. Trump’s administration is hardly for gay rights.
Then why’d you support anti-gay Mike Pence?

Like you can’t just say how progressive you are and be employed by those who are advocating for the exact opposite things.

Maybe Ivanka just wants to be one of the cool kids. IDK…

Is it me? Or is @IvankaTrump vying for the “most tone-deaf out-of-touch individual who ever lived” award?

She’ll tweet about rainbow color Popsicles as her daddy rolls backs civil liberties & rights of LGBTQ. She’s as fake as her daddy’s tan.

You openly supported and campaigned for the most anti-LGBTQ+ presidential ticket in recent times. Your words mean nothing to us.

Support for Gay conversion therapy programs was outlined in the RNC platform

We really hope Lady Ivanka reads the responses to her tweets. I’m not seeing any tweets in support of her feigned messages of support for our LGBTQ friends.
