This won’t really surprise anyone, but Trump began his Saturday with one of his most ridiculous Twitter tantrums to date. In a series of erratic tweets, Trump whined about everything from the media to his Russian scandal to the failed GOP health care bill. It seemed as though Trump was mercilessly unloading on Americans and was just itching for things to b*tch and moan about to avoid doing his job.
As insane as Trump’s tweets are, no one can deny that they’re completely predictable due to Trump’s tendency to deny things that are absolutely true. As we’ve seen time and time again, the more Trump flips out about something, the more reason he has to worry. It turns out, Trump’s meltdown from earlier today was for a very specific reason – and it’s no wonder he was having a panic attack.
It’s just been discovered that Trump was set off by the fact that US investigators are trying to flip former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort into telling them what he knows about Trump and Russia. According to Reuters:
U.S. investigators examining money laundering accusations against President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort hope to push him to cooperate with their probe into possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia, two sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said.”
Manafort and Trump have a history, so it’s likely that the ex-campaign manager has quite a bit of dirt on the disgraced POTUS. From 2006-2013, Manafort purchased three properties in New York, one of which was in the Manhattan Trump Tower. Manafort paid in full for the properties, later taking out mortgages against them – a tactic that is commonly used to hide funds that were obtained illegally. Reuters also reported:
The sources also did not say whether Mueller has uncovered any evidence to charge Manafort with money laundering, but they said doing so is seen by investigators as critical in getting his full cooperation in their investigation.
Once again, a member of Trump’s inner circle is in trouble. Exploding in unhinged tweets is exactly how Trump reacted when minions like Jared Kushner, Mike Flynn, his son Donald Trump Jr;, and various other members of his team landed in hot water due to the Russia scandal. Trump and his entire team are going down, and there are no amount of tweets that can prevent it from happening.
If Manafort flips, Trump has EVERY reason to be scared sh*tless.
