Right On Cue, Trump Takes To Twitter To Defend How Many Patriots Came To See Him; Sad! (TWEET)

Well, we knew it was going to happen. It was only a matter of when. Right on cue, Donald Trump took to Twitter in yet another hissy fit to let us all know that he had lots and lots of New England Patriots at the White House just like former President Obama.

On Wednesday, the Patriots visited the White House to commemorate their latest Super Bowl victory. However, many of the players were noticeably not in attendance. In fact, according to NBC News, half didn’t attend. NBC reported that during the 2015 visit to the White House, 50 Patriots visited Obama, as compared to 34 (half the roster) who visited Trump. Of course, not all players who didn’t attend did so for political reasons, but several most definitely did.

Because of this startling difference, the New York Times tweeted out this comparison photo:

And everyone knew that the second this photo was tweeted, Trump was not going to be happy about it.

In fact, only a couple of hours later, the Patriots, whose owner Robert Kraft happens to be BFF’s with Trump, tweeted out this photo:

And this photo:

And this tweet for “clarification”:

Now, we’re not saying that Trump picked up the phone and called his pal Kraft to post those photos, but it sure as hell looks like he did.

Then, after all those photos were posted, right on cue, Trump tweets this out on Thursday morning. You know, because he has nothing better to do:

“Failing, NY Times which has been calling me wrong for two years, just got caught in a big lie concerning New England Patriots visit to W.H.”

What a sad life he must lead that this is what he concerns himself with. Never mind the fact that he’s supposed to be leading the country and there are actual things to worry about, he’s got to clarify he had lots and lots of Patriots at the White House.

And we all know how he feels about crowd size. Although lets just remind him how sad his inauguration really was compared to Obama:
