REPORT: After Six Weeks On Job, Jared Kushner Couldn’t Even Name Three Of Trump’s Top Priorities

Donald Trump’s son-in-law and unofficial/official deputy of everything Jared Kushner was apparently a little fuzzy regarding his new boss’ legislative agenda when asked to name three of Trump’s top priorities after spending six weeks on the job.

According to Michael Wolff’s new explosive book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” Jared failed miserably when asked by a Republican operative and former administration member to three of the top things on his boss’ agenda.

“Just give me the three things the president wants to focus on,” Katie Walsh, a Republican operative and short-lived White House deputy chief of staff, asked Kushner. “What are the three priorities of this White House?”

Kushner, the report notes, was “wholly without an answer.”

“Yes,” he reportedly told the deputy chief of staff. “We should probably have that conversation.”

In case you’re not sufficiently freaked out by this new revelation, here’s a list of things that Trump’s put his clueless son-in-law in charge of since taking office courtesy of Think Progress.

  1. Kushner leads the “White House Office of American Innovation,” which means he’s in charge of trying to make the U.S. government “run like a great American company.”
  2. He is supposed to reform the criminal justice system.
  3. He is overseeing “reimagining Veterans Affairs.”
  4. He’s America’s top diplomat with China.
  5. Kushner is also America’s top diplomat with Mexico.
  6. He is responsible for solving America’s opioid epidemic.
  7. And last but not least Kushner is responsible for brokering peace in the Middle East between Israel and the Palestinians and helping defeat ISIS

Given that at least three of Kushner’s so-called “jobs” are of a diplomatic nature, it was particularly disconcerting when Politico reported that Kushner told an administration official that history didn’t matter.

“According to Politico, Kushner has reportedly shown very little interest in maintaining crucial alliances throughout the world, especially with the countries in Western Europe. An official told Politico that Kushner stated that he was a “businessman” and that he didn’t “care about the past.” “Old allies can be enemies, or enemies can be friends, so the past doesn’t count,” Kushner added. Kushner’s confidante said that they were “taken aback” by these revelations.”

Last year, the daily show’s Trevor Noah asked an interesting question regarding Kushner’s responsibilities as a Senior White House adviser. Is Donald Trump pulling a Tom Sawyer on Kushner, by putting off a significant share of presidential duties onto the slim shoulders of his privileged, unqualified, aloof, son-in-law?

It’s clear that Kushner shouldn’t even be put in charge of checking to make sure rain stays wet, let alone being an adviser to the president. But Trump’s top priority is making sure that he surrounds himself with an army of ass-kissers at all times, and Kushner seems to have excelled at that role longer than most of Trump’s former advisers could.
