Many people have been noticing the similarities Donald Trump has to Adolf Hitler since he began running his hateful campaign, but now one of the world’s most brutal nations is making the same claim.
According to U.S. News & World Report:
“North Korea has likened Donald Trump’s policy posture to that of German dictator Adolf Hitler, saying the U.S. president promotes an “American version of Nazism.””
“The country’s state-controlled news agency reportedly described Trump’s “America First” policy as “Nazism in the 21st century,” saying it far surpasses “the fascism in the last century in its ferocious, brutal and chauvinistic nature.” The North’s Korean Central News Agency went on to brand “anti-immigration politics” in the United States as “little short of fascism’s racist politics.””
For goodness sake, you know things are bad when even North Korea is calling you Hitler.
It’s really not an uncommon sentiment, though. Trump isn’t really liked much at all around the globe. For instance, here’s an image from the Women’s March in Barcelona, Spain:
Between Donald Trump’s isolationist and nationalistic policies, to wanting to degrade and dehumanize minorities and certain religions, to sending his brownshirts after protesters at rallies, to building his own army of followers to do his bidding, to holding rallies still after becoming *president, the parallels aren’t only there, they’re startling.
So, while no one should agree with North Korea on, well, anything. They’re not wrong in comparing Trump to Hitler. If a lemon is a lemon, you call it a lemon. If it looks like an orange, and barks like Hitler, it’s probably Donald Trump.
