Donald Trump may soon face the wrath of his own alleged dirty and heavily funded campaigning and electoral win as Special Counsel Robert Mueller has now shifted Kyle Feeney from the “Wolf of Wall Street” case to the Russian intervention case.
Feeney was earlier heading the case involving Wolf of Wall Street’s production company, helping the US government to seize the prfts. The government claimed that the movie was financed by black money that came from Malaysian Government as theft.
The similarity between Feeney’s prior engagement and the current Mueller probe is basically that he has been working for the same department that has been probing Paul Manafort.
Wolf of the Wall Street case and the Manafort angle of the Russian intervention into Trump’s victory case seem to have some similarities.
In an effort to pursue the proceeds of foreign corruption, the Justice Department billed the “Wolf of Wall Street” case as a product of the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative. It also aims to return that money back to those countries.
Now, the same kleptocracy project is in-charge of probing into the transfer of funds abroad by Ukrainian officials which include former President Viktor Yanukovych, according to the Justice Department officials including former Attorney General Eric Holder.
Manafort had worked under Yanukovych and his Party of Regions as a consultant. This had triggered doubts about the former campaign chief of Trump because of his close acquaintance with Russia.
