For someone who claims he hates Saturday Night Live and the “failing network” NBC, Trump just can’t stop handing over material to them each week! If it’s not his own actions that make for perfect sketches, it’s that of his staff — especially the embarrassing remarks that come out of Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s mouth almost daily.
Yes — Sean Spicer had a rough week! After claiming that Hitler never used gas on his people during WWII, he tried to apologize for the mistake, but somehow made it worse when he called concentration camps “Holocaust Centers.”
We didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II. You had a, someone who is as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons,” Spicer said. “There was not and the in the he brought them um to the Holocaust centers and I understand that, but I’m saying that the way that Ashad used them where he went in to towns, dropped them down into the middle of towns. It was brought, so the use of it. I appreciate the clarification.”
And he did this while Jewish people all over the world were observing Passover with their families and friends.
Obviously, SNL couldn’t let that get by without a visit from Melissa McCarthy, and she rocked her ‘Spicey’ impersonation while dressed as the Easter Bunny, which makes it even better. (In case you didn’t know, Sean Spicer dressed as the Easter Bunny during the Bush era at the annual White House Egg Roll.)
In the beginning of the sketch, ‘Spicey’ tries yet again to atone for his embarrassing and offensive Hitler remarks during Passover,
Yeah, I know they’re not really called ‘Holocaust centers’ — Duh, I know that. I’m aware. I clearly meant to say, ‘concentration clubs,’ ok? Let it drop.”
“It would be really great if the nitpickers could try and see the big picture and didn’t focus on every little slur and lie I say,” Spicey added. “That’d be nice.”
And, it gets even better after that, but you’ll have to see it for yourself. Watch the full video below:
