Hillary Clinton Says She Might Contest The 2016 Election


In an interview Monday with NPR’s Terry Gross, Hillary Clinton said something to give Americans hope for a better future — specifically that she may still contest the 2016 election.

“I want to get back to the question, would you completely rule out questioning the legitimacy of this election if we learn that the Russian interference in the election is even deeper than we know now?” asked Terry Gross in an interview.

“No. I would not. I would say…” Clinton started before Gross interrupted, asking “You’re not going to rule it out?”

“No, I wouldn’t rule it out,” Clinton, who won the popular vote by more than three million, replied.

Clinton acknowledged the difficulty in challenging the election, explaining that she is unsure if it can even be done but adding that “there are scholars, academics, who have arguments that it would be.”

Elections in other countries, as Clinton pointed out, have been overturned because of fraud.
