Anthony Scaramucci had barely settled into his new role as White House communications director before Donald Trump fired him, just ten short days after he started.
From the beginning, it was clear that Scaramucci was going to be another one of Trump’s abrasive, much-hated administration members, but there was one incident in particular that heavily influenced Trump’s decision.
Last week, Scaramucci conducted a bombshell phone call that was so shocking, it ultimately led to his firing. Today, New Yorker writer Ryan Lizza has kindly released audio of this phone call so we can all remember Scaramucci for the horrible person he was.
In an interview with “The New Yorker Radio Hour”, Lizza talked about how stunned he was over Scaramucci’s phone call, where the billionaire had asked about Lizza’s source for a story involving a dinner at the White House. Scaramucci pretty much exploded on Lizza and said he wanted to “kill all the leakers” in the administration. Scaramucci also infamously called Reince Priebus a “paranoid schizophrenic” during this call.
Despite Scaramucci’s removal from Trump’s team, Lizza warned that this won’t solve any of Trump’s ongoing problems with his administration. Lizza told host David Remnick that ultimately, “What’s dysfunctional about Trumpworld all stems from Donald Trump.”
You can listen to the shocking audio below, in which Scaramucci completely melts down:
It’s easy to see why this call would have gotten Scaramucci fired, however, it’s completely ironic that Trump is the one doing the firing for the comments he deemed “inappropriate.” Trump himself is no stranger to inappropriate behavior and comments, and if Scaramucci needed to be removed from his position in the White House, we can certainly argue that Trump deserves the same treatment. America has had enough of Trump and his reality television antics.
