White supremacist GOP Rep. Steve King once again embarrassed his home state of Iowa by saying that not only would he stop food stamps and other safety net programs altogether, but that he would redirect the money to building Trump’s stupid wall.
On top of the $1.6 billion the border wall will cost taxpayers — not Mexico, as Trump has said multiple times — King told CNN that he would “throw another $5 billion on the pile.”
Where would that money come from?
“I would find a half a billion of that right out of Planned Parenthood’s budget,” King said. “And the rest of it could come out of food stamps and the entitlements that are being spread out for people who haven’t worked in three generations.”
“We’ve got to put America back to work,” says King, who claims that the border wall would create “ten million” new permanent jobs “just by enforcing immigration law.”
“I wouldn’t impose anything more strict on Americans than what Michelle Obama did with her school lunch program,” King added, speaking of one of the many programs Republicans have gutted. “Anyone who wants to have food stamps up to the school lunch program, that’s fine.”
The reason King wants to guy a program that provides food to our nation’s most vulnerable — the poor, the elderly, children, military veterans whom Republicans forgot about once they came home? They’re all too fat:
We created the program to solve the problem of malnutrition in America and now we have a problem of obesity and when you match up the EBT card with what the scales say on some of the folks I think it’s worth looking at.”
There are no words for this unforgivable screed against our country’s poor. Watch King’s horrible attack below:
