Ever since Donald Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey for requesting additional funding for the Russia investigation, he and his allies have been (poorly) attacking his credibility in an effort to neutralize the potentially damaging information he has to provide.
Though the Right loves to portray Comey as incompetent now that he is no longer useful to them, he remains quite popular in the FBI.
At the FBI’s Family Day in Washington Friday, at least a dozen people showed up wearing the same outfit — a fashion faux pas perhaps, but a tremendous show of support for Comey:

The shirts read “#ComeyIsMyHomey” on the front and on the back is a quote attributed to the fired FBI director: “We choose to do good for a living.”
After Trump obstructed justice by firing Comey, Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed that average FBI employees had “lost confidence” in the FBI director:
The DOJ lost confidence in Director Comey. Bipartisan members of Congress made it clear that they had lost confidence in Director Comey. And, most importantly, the rank-and-file of the FBI had lost confidence in their director.”
If anything, attendees at Family Day proved that the only people who had any issues with him are the ones who had something to fear from him.
