As Donald Trump has an insane, colossal meltdown over the failure of the GOP’s plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, there’s another bit of news circulating today that is going to send him over the top.
Today, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) introduced legislation that calls for a vote of no confidence in Trump as President of the United States, calling attention to his unacceptable, inappropriate behavior and incompetence. To make matters even worse for fragile Trump, this legislation is already being supported by literally dozens of members of Congress. A press release stated:
Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, will hold a press conference on the introduction of a Resolution of No Confidence in President Donald J. Trump. The resolution details President Trump’s unacceptable behavior as President and expresses a lack of confidence in his service.”

Several Democratic Representatives are joining Cohen’s cause, including Karen Bass (D-CA), Brendan Boyle (D-PA), Andre Carson (D-IN), Judy Chu (D-CA), David Cicilline (D-RI), Mark DeSaulnier (D-CA), Keith Ellison (D-MN), Adriano Espaillat (D-NY), Marcia Fudge (D-OH), Al Green (D-TX), Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), Luis Gutierrez (D-TX), Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX), Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Barbara Lee (D-CA), John Lewis (D-GA), Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Mark Pocan (D-WI), Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), Maxine Waters (D-CA), Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ), John Yarmuth (D-KY).
While the fact that the majority of America has zero confidence in Trump’s ability to lead the country, a vote of no confidence is certainly a brutal public thrashing of Trump and his corrupt administration.
While this resolution may not get far, its move toward publicly condemning Trump through legislation is worth taking note of and could set the stage for 2018. It’s clear that the Democrats have every intention of dominating the House in 2018, and votes of no confidence will certainly be a part of their tactics to keep Trump in the hot seat. We have all seen how poorly Trump deals with criticism from Democrats (or anyone), and this will likely throw him into a series of meltdowns that will destroy him and his administration.
