CNN Responds To Trump’s Attacks And It’s Brilliant

CNN

On Saturday, Donald Trump took time away from the important and challenging job of trying to juggle “quick” rounds of Golf and attacking black athletes on Twitter, to feud with one of his favorite adversaries, CNN.  On Twitter, Trump accused the network of representing the U.S. “very poorly” to its worldwide audience while praising Fox News. He tweeted:

Subscribe to our Youtube Channel

@FoxNews is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!”

However, the cable news giant didn’t take the president’s insult lying down. The network hit back with a tweet of its own, managing to outwit Trump with class all while bruising his eggshell ego in the process.

“It’s not CNN’s job to represent the U.S to the world,” the network’s public relations team tweeted. “That’s yours. Our job is to report the news. #FactsFirst.

CNN also included an apple emoji, while referencing their new “Facts First” ad campaign.

Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign and his presidency, Trump has repeatedly targeted CNN and other major news outlets for reporting facts he doesn’t like. However, Trump’s most dangerous achievement was managing to hard label unflattering facts as “fake news,” while harming millions of ignorant and gullible Americans in the process.

Meanwhile, he continues to promote Fox News, who routinely returns the favor, except for Sheppard Smith, who’s become the lone voice of sanity on the conservative news network. These are perilous times for those who value the free press, as Trump and his sycophantic supporters continue to try and hijack the truth and twist it to the shape of their ignorant reality.
