Breaking: Pence Caught In A Major Wikileaks Lie

The news that Donald Trump Jr. and Wikileaks actively communicated for months, collaborating on information aimed at taking down Hillary Clinton and the Democrats, broke today in an explosive report from the Atlantic. This reporting also sheds new light on other members of President Donald Trump’s team, including his vice president Mike Pence. Pence was among many campaign officials echoing the storyline that the Trump campaign had nothing to do with Wikileaks, and no communication or collaboration with the organization, a claim we now know is utterly false.

Unfortunately for Mike Pence, he happened to be on Fox News talking to Steve Doocy on a day that the leaked documents show Donald Trump Jr. was actively taking advice from Wikileaks. On the day in question, Mike Pence said of reports the campaign had been talking to the organization, “Nothing could be further from the truth. I think all of us have, you know, have had concerns about WikiLeaks over the years and it’s just a reality of American life today, and of life in the wider world.”

Two weeks prior to Mike Pence saying this, Wikileaks first reached out to Donald Trump Jr. He did not keep this correspondence to himself, making the campaign fully aware of the fact that he was actively talking to Wikileaks, and directly forwarding the conversation to Steve Bannon, Kellyanne Conway, Jared Kushner, and Hope Hicks, among others. This shows that either Mike Pence actively lied to Steve Doocy and the viewers of Fox News, or the campaign communication was so poorly managed that, although all other leading figures in the campaign were aware the reality of their relationship with Wikileaks, Pence was somehow excluded from the information.

Mike Pence has yet to put out a statement explaining why he lied on national television about the campaign’s connection to Wikileaks, however, it is now becoming clear that the more we learn about how the Trump campaign conducted business during the 2016 election, the more their previous statements are falling apart.
