Trump’s new communications director Anthony Scaramucci is a moron — and if you doubt this statement, you need only watch his Sunday morning interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
“There’s a lot of misinformation,” Scaramucci told the “State of the Union” host when asked if Trump intended to sign a sanctions bill against Russia. “Somebody said to me the other day — I don’t want to say who — if the Russians actually hacked this situation and spilled out those emails, you would have never seen it. You would have never had any evidence of them. Meaning that they’re super confident in their deception skills and hacking.”
Ooh, an anonymous source! Natually, Scaramucci jealously protected the identity of the person who provided him with these details — oh, who are we kidding? He almost immediately sold out his source: Donald Trump himself.
“Wait, wait, wait,” Tapper said. “I don’t know who this anonymous person is.”
“How about it’s the president, Jake,” Scaramucci snapped back like a middle schooler. “He called me from Air Force One and basically said to me, ‘This is — maybe they did it, maybe they didn’t do it.’”
At this point, it is undisputed by all but the most stupid among us that Russia did it.
“This is exactly the issue!” Tapper said. “We have experts, the U.S. intelligence agencies [are] unanimous, both Obama appointees and Trump appointees — the director of national intelligence, the head of the National Security Agency, the head of the FBI. I mean, all of these intelligence experts, saying, Russia hacked the election, they tried to interfere in the election.”
“President Trump is contradicting it and you’re siding with President Trump!” Tapper seethed.
“I didn’t say I was siding with President Trump,” Scaramucci replied, despite siding with Trump. “I’m his communications director and I’m his advocate on a show like this.”
“You’re saying, you’re going to side with the president,” Tapper continued. “Don’t you owe a duty to the truth?”
Scaramucci dodged that question because he already answered it when he explained that he’s Trump’s “advocate” no matter what the facts are.
“What about this conversation are you missing, Jake?” the communications director said. “There are checks and balances in the system for a reason. The president will make that decision en he makes that decision. You’re telling me something is true that could, in fact, be true. I don’t have the information in front of me.”
At this point, all the information in the world exists to back the fact that Russia interfered in our election — but at least we know that Scaramucci is willing to lie just as much as everyone else associated with our “so-called President.”
