On Sunday, former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina blasted Donald Trump for supporting alleged pedophile and Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore and while doing so, she also took Fox ‘News’ to the woodshed to politely humiliate the network.
Fiorina called out by name some of the men whose sexual misconduct is now being scrutinized and mentioned Fox News’ own former chairman Roger Ailes. “When are we going to stop tolerating this behavior and respecting the men that do it,” Fiorina told host Chris Wallace.
Fiorina was asked if she was ever the victim of sexual harassment.
“Of course, I was,” she said.
“Every woman I know was. I don’t mean I’ve been raped or assaulted in some of the ways these women have. But was I groped by a friend of my family’s? Of course,” she continued. “Was I propositioned? Of course. Was I introduced as a bimbo? Of course. This is a common occurrence, unfortunately, ” she said.
She said men need to stop disrespecting women and it’s up to them to correct this problem.
“Men need to decide (that) I’m not going to respect a man who disrespects women. I’m going to withhold my respect from him unless he respects others. That will be a watershed moment,” she said.
She was asked about Trump backing Moore and Fiorina said it’s all about politics and boosting his legislative agenda.
“This is all about politics. That’s why when politicians talk about this, it doesn’t have a lot of credibility, ” she said, adding: “Donald Trump cares about a vote in the Senate no more, no less.”
“He won’t be the first president to fail the test of leadership and he won’t be the last, unfortunately,” she said.
Watch:
Roger Ailes resigned from Fox News in 2016 after months of sexual harassment allegations against him and other figures at the network.
Admitted sexual predator Donald Trump was still elected even after sexual harassment claims poured in during the campaign.
