Bernie Sanders visited the set of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday night to talk to him about his campaign and the goals he has for a Sanders presidency. He heavily stressed issues like our massive income inequality problem, and the healthcare crisis in America. Additionally, one of the biggest truth bombs he dropped during the set, was regarding the seemingly inexplicable popularity of Donald Trump:
the reason Donald Trump is so popular is because he appeals to people’s primal instincts and…racism, quite frankly.
If Bernie had a mic in his hand, he would have dropped it right there.
However, never let it be said that Bernie is all business. He shared some of his stances on the REALLY important issues in a second skit presented during the show.
Will it be a stretch for Republcians, to disagree with Bernie on the Van Halen issue? I don’t believe that even they can not find common ground on this one.
