Accusations of sexual impropriety (including several unverified charges of sexual assault) have followed Bill Clinton for years. For reasons that remain unclear, Donald Trump – who has his own long history of sleazy behavior and rape allegations – has decided to bring this issue to the forefront of the election.
But do you know what the difference is between Bill Clinton and Donald Trump? Bill Clinton isn’t running for office — in fact, he hasn’t even made much of an appearance this election cycle, for good reason. Donald Trump is.
Of course, nobody told Alex Jones that — the Trump Superfan apparently promised to pay an onlooker $5,000 to interrupt a Fox News live outdoors shot by yelling “Bill Clinton is a rapist” before he was removed by security.
The incident happened just before 8am, while “Fox & Friends” hosts Tucker Carlson, Abby Huntsman, and Ed Henry were filming live from the streets of midtown Manhattan to introduce a segment on a charity event for shelter pets.
While they were recording live, a man who was likely in his twenties climbed the security railing and removed his outer shirt, revealing a t-shirt sold by Jones. The shirt features Bill’s face above the word “rape.”
He promptly proceeded to yell, “Bill Clinton is a rapist!” five times, before security managed to wrestle him out of the shot. This prompted Tucker Carlson to comment, “We’ve got a very excited young man behind us.”
After some struggling, he managed to slip free again, although producers took the hosts off camera as a precaution and had a generic “Fox & Friends” graphic on the screen until security could wrangle things under control a few seconds later.
So other than the shirt being sold by Jones, what’s this got to do with him? Apparently, Jones offered big money to anyone who would wear the shirt and call Clinton a rapist on television:
“Anyone that gets on national TV with the shirt clearly, for more than five seconds, gets $1,000. That means behind cameras, you name it. Anyone that gets it on air on national TV and gets the words out ‘Bill Clinton is a rapist,’ or things along that line, with a bullhorn — I could go to this right now, $5,000.”
Has the money exchanged hands? I have no idea. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t — Jones never struck me as the most honest person, but stranger things have happened.
Trump, meanwhile, has been accused of rape three times, including multiple times with a 13-year-old at parties hosted by the notorious sex offender, Jeffery Epstein. If a person is going to call Bill Clinton a rapist then do the intellectually honest thing and go after the alt-right’s lord and savior, Donald J. Trump, too. And while we’re here, acknowledge that Hillary Clinton isn’t Bill Clinton, and it’s Hillary, not Bill, who’s running for office.
