Right-Wing Heads Explode After Obama Became First Sitting President To Publish Scientific Paper

As Presiden Obama’s days wind down and we prepare for the brace for the potential apocalypse with bad hair, it’s important to look back on how awful Republicans made it for President Obama. The fact remains that no other president in history has faced such a relentless barrage of blind rage and vitriol from the opposition like President Obama has. Luckily, Obama eventually realized that he was dealing with a pry of petulant man-children and had no more f*cks left to give

Well, you can expect Fox News and Republicans to start having blood coming out of their…wherever.

President Obama has just made history as a sitting president – he’s published a paper in a leading peer-reviewed scientific journal. The paper reviews the introduction of the Affordable Care Act, summarizes its effects, and considers what can be done in the future.

John Holdren, Obama’s science advisor, described how his boss enjoyed questioning scientists about their work more than his time with sports stars. And now, Obama joined the ranks of noted public health researchers as sole author of a paper in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). The piece is a review of his centerpiece policy: Obamacare.

Speaking on the effects of Obamacare:

This is by far the largest decline in the uninsured rate since the creation of Medicare and Medicaid 5 decades ago. Recent analyses have concluded these gains are primarily because of the ACA, rather than other factors such as the ongoing economic recovery, Obama observes.

While Obamacare is far from perfect, it has done some amazing things, such as allowing coverage for pre-existing conditions, and a coverage expansions so kids can remain on their parents plan until they turn 26, and expanding access to Medicaid. But just don’t expect right-wingers to suddenly send the president any congrats cards anytime soon.
