With Sarah Palin back in the news cycles and now Kim Davis, January has officially become stupid-crazy-women-who-refuse-to-go-away-month. Kim Davis, the gay marriage denying county clerk from Kentucky, is back to remind everyone that she’s still a really awful person.
During an interview with American Family Radio on Friday, Davis told the host she was handpicked by God to crusade against same-sex marriage. That’s a pretty big promotion. God is usually forced to spend most of his time making sure NFL players score touchdowns and helping people win the lottery. Who knew he could fit gay-hating county clerks into his busy schedule?
Sandy Rios, the show’s host, gushed over Davis during the interview:
It’s interesting to me how God chose you. Not a Sunday school teacher, not a Republican, not the standard — this is like God, this is so like God, so he chose you.
Oddly enough, Davis acted as though she had cured cancer by failing to fulfill her mundane duties of handing out marriage certificates to couples, regardless of sexual orientation.
It’s a joy to be chosen, to make a stand and to defend my God’s word, the infallible word of God.
If there is a god, it’s possible that he’s now an atheist. Listen to the full exchange below:[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/243703726″ params=”color=ff5500″ width=”100%” height=’166′ iframe=”true” /]
