Caitlyn Jenner was in the running for Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year”. If it was called “blatant hypocrite of the year” she would have won, as you will soon read below.
Jenner has been involved in a lot of high-profile LGBT events, been given honors and awards, and received a lot of praise for her brave choice. The problem is that all this time, she has been something of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
To put it plainly, Jenner is a hypocrite and traitor to the same community that has given her all these accolades and called her a hero.
In an interview with Time, Jenner was discussing her leadership role - as she called it - in the LGBT community. Immediately after that, Jenner went on to say how she tries to project what she calls a “good image” for the LGBT community’s sake. When asked for further comment, Jenner said the following:
One thing that has always been important for me, and it may seem very self-absorbed or whatever, is first of all your presentation of who you are. I think it’s much easier for a trans woman or a trans man who authentically kind of looks and plays the role. So what I call my presentation. I try to take that seriously. I think it puts people at ease. If you’re out there and, to be honest with you, if you look like a man in a dress, it makes people uncomfortable. So the first thing I can do is try to present myself well. I want to dress well. I want to look good. When I go out, as Kim says, you’ve got to rock it because the paparazzi will be there. The second thing I want to do in living my life authentically is be intelligent on the subject. Hopefully as time goes on I’ll learn more and more and more and get better at that.
To say this did not go over well for Jenner is a bit of an understatement.
Yep. Caitlyn Jenner is becoming outright harmful to trans women. https://t.co/xijrvoaQlj

Caitlyn Jenner is pretty much attacking low income trans women and women like me who are visibly trans. Reminds me of 90's websites I read

Not here for Caitlyn Jenner saying you appease cisnormativity or you are a failure. Fuck that. Everything I stand against as a trans woman
— Sophia Banks (@sophiaphotos) December 12, 2015
Others were a bit more direct:
Fuck Caitlyn Jenner and her shitting on other trans women. I'm DONE with her reality TV media time suck bullshit. https://t.co/gsDjbERSFW

Amen to this one. Jenner is taking a LOT of glory from the trans community that wanted to accept her while she says things like this about them and votes against their own best interests.
Caitlyn Jenner is actual trash lmao it's great that she became who she is but she still stands against everything that she's supposed to

Ellen DeGeneres also ripped into Jenner on the Howard Stern show a bit earlier this year, about her stance against gay marriage. Watch the clip of that exchange below:
What Jenner is referring to is “passing“. It essentially means that you have to disguise yourself to any length necessary to fool people into believing you are a standard cis male or female.
Full disclosure: I am not a trans individual. I am a regular cis guy. However, even with that in mind, I can still understand completely why people do not approve of this nonsense from Jenner. Let’s make a short list.
- Not everyone can just spend untold fortunes like Jenner did, to “pass” for the gender they identify with. Whether it be through medical procedures, elaborate wardrobes, or what-have-you.
- Calling other trans individuals a “man in a dress” is outrageously offensive. It’s such a direct and personal insult on an issue someone struggles with every day in one form or another. Caitlyn is literally calling trans women “men”.
- When the hell did it suddenly become anyone’s responsibility to cater to the transphobic? No, really - When in the hell did it become civilized society’s responsibility to suddenly twist itself and do extra effort in order to soothe the feelings of a couple of bigots? The problem isn’t that someone looks like a “man in a dress”, but rather the ignorant, hateful, fearful, violent, and too often deadly reaction that is provoked by someone who is so irrationally hateful that a “man in a dress” would scare them to violence or hate speech.
With these comments, Jenner is essentially saying you have two options: Either you look good enough to fool everybody or go and hide back in the closet again and live in shame. She is literally comparing every other trans person to herself and holding them to her standards that wealth and privilege can afford her.

Jenner votes Republican. Even now after all the hate from the right that she received, and being so “deeply concerned” with LGBT issues and the harassment of LGBT individuals, she still votes Republican. To paraphrase something Bette Midler said about Jenner - “She identifies as Uninformed”. It seems that is true again with this latest fiasco.

Who really cares?
Too many unfortunately. You cared enough to click, read and comment. Why do you care?
She’s a transgender celebrity and with there being so few trans women in the spotlight what she says can make an impact, for better or for worse.
true
I’m not particularly pretty or feminine. Does that mean I am doing a disservice to ciswomen trying to be taken seriously by men?
Brucie isn’t a real person, just and old man who likes to dress like a woman…trans freak.
Transphobic freak.
Fúck off, tranny.
What happened in your life that makes you feel the need to go around bullying others? I can only imagine. Maybe you’d be a happier person if you focused on yourself and accepted what makes others happy.
I’m glad to see that you freak shows stick together.
Yeah actually we do.
Says the widdle girl who wants to be a man. No dick…still a chick, no doubt an ugly one.
Kill yourself.
I couldn’t agree more.
She is as ignorant as her ex wife Pimp Momma Kris Kardashian
Caitlyn, I’m just going to call you disgusting. The worst sexist/transphobic people are hypocrites like you. Being a woman is a lot more than looks or hotness or whatever. Maybe if you had lived your whole life as a woman, you’d get it. But then, you’re a conservative. You have no clue, nor do you want to find one.
Caitlyn only cares about $ or she’d never vote GOP. She’s a 1%. Every time she opens her mouth, I hear Brucie.
And the GOP hates her.
Some people are just better at passing than others. I can do a reasonable job as long as I keep my mouth shut. Others may not be so lucky.
Jenner is not genuinely trans. She just wants to “look pretty”. When asked if she was a homosexual in an interview, she said no, that she was only attracted to women, not men. Well, if youre a woman, and youre only attracted to women, that makes you a lesbian, a homosexual. Unless of course, you dont consider yourself to be a woman, but a man. Because a man being attracted to women is not homosexual. Therefore its clear that Jenner does not actually consider his/herself to be a woman.
You do know he kept his penis right?
Not all transfolk opt for bottom surgery. It is expensive, dangerous, comes with high risk of complication, and functionality is not guaranteed. I don’t care for Jenner, but she is not alone in choosing not to get bottom surgery.
One can be both transgender and still not “straight” for their expressed gender. Sexuality and gender identity are not the same thing.
Don’t undermine one’s gender identity just because you don’t like what they have to say. It is not your place to police a person’s gender, and it is incredibly transphobic to do so.
But it is my place to say that you are a freak.
Actually no it isn’t.
She acts like a 1950’s repressed housewife! Ugh! This awkward, coquetish behavior is not attractive in ANY woman. It’s like she’s playing dress up!
I literally do not know one trans person irl who ever wanted Jenner to be a spokesperson for the trans community. Not one.
To the editor/publisher/author: I’m not trying to be rude, and I loved the article, it was spot on, and great that someone who is cisgender could so readily identify with my feelings on this. Made me feel a lot more normal, but is there any way you could edit and change the words “fool”? That’s a thing. A dangerous thing to say about trans people. It cultivates the idea that we’re trying to trick or, as said, fool people into thinking we’re something we’re not, when we in fact, are. It also gives permission to bigots to be violent. I.E. if you’re a cis man and you just found out that your date is a trans woman, now she was suddenly trying to maliciously “fool” or trick you. That makes violence or hate easier. There’s a media reference guide that I think is on the HRC page. It may be the GLAAD page, I’m unsure. They give great alternatives for expressing what you’re trying to express in a healthy way. I’m not trying to say your article is the lone cause for thousands of trans women dying across the country, but cumulatively, this and things LIKE it do cause hate and violence, or at the least they cultivate an environment of permitting it.
Thanks,
Chloe
moving forward…as for jenner…she can suck a bag of dicks. She’s the most cisnormative trans person I’ve ever seen. I know that part of it is just her learning to accept herself, but…she’s betraying her own in so many ways. I guess she’s got more than one group of “her own” that she belongs to, so to speak. The transphobic and wealthy are just more important than loving and accepting herself. I dislike the things she says and what she stands for…but I’m pretty over it. She’s dangerous for us sure, but so is the growing culture of hate, and I think she’s missing out more than we are. I never went to her lengths, but I do remember wanting to distance myself from trans culture and not wanting to “be like them” because i knew I’d have to face the fact that people I loved didn’t love me back now because I was (and am) trans. I remember that feeling. I also would never go back. I’m in such a better place. I live a happier life. More roadblocks and problems sometimes? Maybe. I don’t care though. I love myself. Jenner? She still doesn’t truly love herself. it’s her that’s missing out, not me, not us.
narcissism?
