No one does Bernie Sanders quite like comedian Larry David and if you enjoy HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” you are sure to enjoy this skit. David managed to morph his HBO character with Sen. Bernie Sanders to create the hilarious skit “Bern Your Enthusiasm.”
In “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Larry David plays a character who never fails to piss everyone off around him without necessarily meaning to. Just like the SNL skit, David’s character usually ends up getting pummeled by people around him for his actions or things he says. His character is completely in the dark as to how to interact with people and feels his behavior is completely normal.
This is exactly how Sanders’ character was portrayed. Not only did some random woman want Sanders’ character to pop her dislocated shoulder back in, but another woman expected a handshake after coughing into it. Clearly, his character did what most people would do, refuse!
She didn’t have the decency to give me a wipe. She gave me a cough and a shake.
Sanders’ character just couldn’t get a break.
