On Tuesday, the Trump campaign announced that it’s adding former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) as a new member of an exclusive “evangelical advisory board.”
The campaign said that the board will “provide advisory support to Mr. Trump on those issues important to Evangelicals and other people of faith in America.”
Bachmann joins 20 other board members, which includes Jerry Falwell Jr.
The executive board members will convene on a regular basis,” the statement said.
The Trump campaign credited individual members of the council as being “solely responsible” for arranging Trump’s private meeting with Evangelical Leaders in New York City on Tuesday. However, they did not reveal who those members were.
Bachman recently made news by promoting Phillip Haney, an alleged “whistleblower” who claims the Obama administration is covering up a secret Islamic jihad taking place within the U.S.
Here’s a video featuring Michele Bachmann’s greatest hits.
Oddly, Bachmann has yet to endorse Donald Trump officially. Perhaps waiting for a pivotal moment where her endorsement will be the deciding factor.
If you can’t stop laughing you’re not alone, thousands of Twitter users weighed in on Trump’s newest advisor.
@thehill Well, there's precedent for the blind leading the blind.
