The American spokesman of an anti-woman group, who has advocated the legalization of rape in the U.S., has organized over a hundred coinciding misogynistic meet-up events in dozens of countries around the world.
Daryush “Roosh V” Valizadeh has organized the worldwide events, which are scheduled for 8pm on Saturday. The events are strictly for heterosexual men only. He warns that any women who tries to attend will be filmed and the footage will then be shared with his “anti-feminist” network, who he promises will “exact furious retribution.”
In preparation of Saturday’s meet-ups, he wrote:
Up to now, the enemy has been able to exert their power by isolating us and attacking with shrieking mobs, but we’ll be able to neutralize that tactic by amassing in high numbers come February 6. I will exact furious retribution upon anyone who challenges you in public on that date (remember to record them). Therefore let the sixth of February be a clear signal to all that we’re not going anywhere. We have finally arrived.
On the event’s website, Roosh writes that it is time for his misogynistic supporters to proudly “come out of the shadows and not have to hide behind a computer screen for fear of retaliation.”
After all his declarations of the sexist group’s “arrival,” and calling for the misogynists to “come out of the shadows” because they “no longer have to hide,” he then proceeds to tell these brave men how to conceal their participation in Saturday’s event with secret code words.
We will have 165 meetings in 43 countries for our international meetup day on February 6, 2016 at 8PM local time. Hosts have been instructed to wait at the meeting point from 8:00-8:20pm before moving on to the final location. If you arrive at the meeting point at 8:21pm, you will miss the meetup. Arriving on time within the window is absolutely paramount.”
“To identify your fellow tribesmen, ask the following question to a man you suspect is there for the meetup: ‘Do you know where I can find a pet shop?’ If you are asked this question, answer in the affirmative: ‘Yes, it’s right here.’ You can then introduce yourself and get details about where to proceed at 8:20. If you ask someone for the pet shop and they appear confused or actually try to direct you to a real pet shop, they’re not there for the meetup.
Roosh V is a self-proclaimed pickup artist who brags about his sexual assaults of young drunk women and has called for rape to be made legal on private property.
He contends that we have been approaching the problem of the “rape culture” all wrong.
By attempting to teach men not to rape, what we have actually done is teach women not to care about being raped, not to protect themselves from easily preventable acts, and not to take responsibility for their actions.
Roosh V has proposed an unfathomable solution that he says will have a dramatic impact in reducing the prevalence of rape in our society.
I thought about this problem and am sure I have the solution: make rape legal if done on private property. I propose that we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds.
Roosh claims that “If rape becomes legal under my proposal, a girl will protect her body in the same manner that she protects her purse and smartphone.” He adds that if the law were advertised well enough, “rape would be virtually eliminated on the first day it is applied.”
