Mom Had No Idea Her Post About Slut-Shaming Went Viral, Until Her Son Found It (SCREENSHOTS)

When Gina Riverós posted a message about slut-shaming to Facebook, she had no idea what she had done. In fact, after posting, she continued on — unaware that her post had been screenshotted and shared more than xxx,xxx times.

After hearing a remark about a girl walking around in a miniskirt, Riverós posted a recounting a man she had seen with his posterior hanging out of his pants.

The post reads:

Yesterday at the bus terminal at 6 a.m., there was a drunk man, and ten minutes later he fell into a deep sleep. He had oversized pants that left his underwear and half of his ass exposed.

In sum: young, drunk, late at night, in a sketchy place like the terminal and with his ass in the air… and not I, nor any of the women who passed by this spectacle, raped him or killed him.

You see guys — it’s not so hard, and that no matter how drunk one is or how one is dressed, it’s possible to respect the lives of others???

“That day a guy came up to buy a ticket in the morning made a comment about a girl who was around in miniskirts,” Riverós told BuzzFeed Español after she discovered her post had gone viral. “And that made me think of the boy I had seen when I arrived.”

Riverós did not discover her post had been shared tens of thousands of times until her son discovered it, but she says she has received numerous messages praising her for her tongue-in-cheek story. Of course, many have called her a “rebel feminazi,” as well.

“I had a radio program on health for years,” Riverós said. “I was disgusted to hear all the people who justify street harassment, groping, rape, etc.” She continued:

Both men and women should pay less attention to the clothes worn by girls and deal more with teaching boys of future generations to NOT violate, harass, stalk, and kill.

In a post for International Women’s Day, the mom posed for a photo captioned, “It doesn’t matter how I dress… when a woman says ‘no’ it means NO!!”

In today’s world, it is important for rape culture fanatics to realize that no matter what a woman is wearing, no matter how attractive or how drunk she is, she is never, ever, ever, ever asking for it.
