Matt Damon traveled 141 million miles into space and now he’s stuck on Mars. Okay, that didn’t really happen. It is the plot to his most recent blockbuster movie, “The Martian,” but it was real enough that a GoFundMe page has been set up to bring Damon home. The goal is to collect a mere $99 million.
The admins of the Harlem Struggle Facebook page are coming to rescue you Matt Damon. Jason Swingle and I will not rest until you are back on earth!!!
One of the greatest actors in Hollywood is currently trapped on Mars after a failed exploration. We need Matt back on earth because he is due to be in another “Bourne” movie. Matt is also a loyal friend to another Hollywood great Ben Affleck who needs Matt Damon’s support as he goes through a divorce. Failing to bring Matt back could be devistating to our American life and will have a devastating impact on film if we don’t rescue Matt.
No, this wasn’t set up by some delusional fan who can’t tell the difference between fact and fiction. This was set up by a fan who respects all that Matt Damon is and does, whether it’s Oscar-winning actor or political activist.
Damon’s true “from the heart” passion isn’t on the big screen and it doesn’t help make anyone famous, but it does help bring clean water to places desperately in need. It’s called, simply, Water.org, and the creator of the GoFundMe page will donate whatever isn’t used to bring Matt home (all of it) to Matt’s organization.
I live in Chicago, but have been a fan of the Boston born actor since “Rounders”. Any and all of Donations will be Given in Matt Damon’s name to Matt Damon’s WATER charity . Please do not donate to this, donate to WATER, but if you choose to do know that I will be keeping nothing from this campaign. But most importantly let’s bring back Matt.
So far, the donations have been paltry. Let’s help #bringbackmatt ourselves by donating to this very worthy cause.
