A neo-con climate denying troll just suffered a third-degree burn after unwittingly trolling a theoretical astrophysicist on Twitter.
Dr. Katherine Mack obtained her Ph.D. at Princeton University and currently works at the School of Physics at The University of Melbourne. Her work mainly focuses on “finding new ways to learn about the early universe and fundamental physics using astronomical observations, probing the building blocks of nature by examining the cosmos on the largest scales,” and includes research on cosmic strings, black holes, dark matter, and the formation of the universe.
Mack is not the type of person an Alex Jones fan would ever want to mix it up with on the internet, as one unlucky soul found out the hard way.
Recently Mack got into this brief exchange with a Twitter troll calling himself Gary P Jackson (RAT), in which Jackson assumed that Mack was just an ignorant, misinformed female who couldn’t possibly understand how global warming worked.
Mack’s dry response was as classy as it was brutal. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling even got involved.
The existence of Twitter is forever validated by the following exchange. pic.twitter.com/f3TciHPFFh

Rowling wasn’t the only person to approve of Mack’s caveman smackdown; the Twitter universe lit up in admiration of the doctor’s triumphant defense of science, logic, and reason.

@AstroKatie Best utterly cool burn of an ignorant jerk EVER. Who knew that was going to be a side benefit of your PhD? Yea, you!
