CA Governor Rips Ted Cruz A New One Over Climate Change, Says He ‘Has Rendered Himself Unfit’ To Run For President (VIDEO)

With rumors circulating that Ted Cruz is primed to make his formal presidential bid announcement, his prolificacy in making asinine comments about things like science, and more specifically, climate change, is only proving that his interests lie in the padded pockets of corruption.

Cruz appeared on Late Night With Seth Myers earlier this week, where the following exchange occurred:

Seth Myers prompted the Texas Senator, “ . . .first I got excited because I thought you were coming around on global warming, because I think the world is on fire, literally. Hottest year on record. But you’re not there, right?”

Cruz says, “You know it’s interesting that you say that, as I just came back from New Hampshire where there’s snow and ice everywhere. And my view on this is actually simple — debates on this should follow science and should follow data, and many of the alarmists on Global Warming… they got a problem, because the science doesn’t back ‘em up.”

Yeah, because. . .

97 percent of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities, and most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position. [Source]

He then rambles on that satellites are more accurate in regard to this topic than the computer models and explains why the term “Global Warming” has now been transitioned to the more accurate term “Climate Change” – of course negating to recognize that the term has been changed because morons like Cruz are unwilling, or unable, to learn that a trending rise in temperature does not automatically equate to an immediate, extreme heat in our day to day weather.

Jerry Brown, Democratic Governor of California, responded to Cruz’s comments on NBC’s Meet the Press,

What he said is absolutely false. Over ninety percent of the scientists who deal with climate are absolutely convinced that the human activity, the industrial activity — the generation of CO2, methane, oxides and nitrogen, all the rest of those greenhouse gasses, are building up in the atmosphere. They’re heat-trapping, and they’re causing not just a warm drought in California, but severe storms and cold in the east coast. So it’s climate disruption of many different kinds, and that man betokens such a level of ignorance, and a direct falsification of existing scientific data.

Brown concludes,

“It’s shocking, and, I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office.”
